Do I need to reset my KYC to update my Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of Address (POA)?
No. Bybit allows you to update your Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of Address (POA) without resetting your existing KYC verification, provided you meet the required KYC level.
Who can update their Proof of Identity?
You can update your Proof of Identity (POI) if you have completed Standard Verification.
Can I update my name separately?
Yes. If your name has character recognition issues, incorrect order, or extra characters, you may update it by tapping the More action icon → Update name on the Personal details card.
Who can update their Proof of Address?
You can only update your Proof of Address (POA) after completing Advanced Verification.
How long does the update process take?
The update process typically takes approximately 15 minutes, excluding review time if additional checks are required.
Are there any limitations on how often I can update my documents?
Yes. After successfully updating your Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of Address (POA), you must wait 180 days before submitting another update request.
Will updating my Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of Address (POA) affect my account access?
No. Updating your documents does not reset your KYC level. However, your verification status may be temporarily under review during the update process.
